How to Act On A Date

How often do you go on dates? Have you ever been on a date and wished that time would run so fast for the date to end?

Going on dates with different types of people makes you to eventually learn some tricks that will help you to perfect your habits when going on dates.

Dates are sometimes difficult for some people especially if you haven't gone for one. You might have some fear because of several factors. Sometimes it might be because of the fear of the person that you are meeting since you don't know how it will turn out.

Going on dates should be something that you do at least every month. This also helps you to learn more about your partner. As a couple or a person getting into a relationship, you should try to break the monotony of meeting on dates at one point and get to visit different places.

When going on a date, there are several things that you need to keep in mind so as to avoid provoking your partner or friend. You should also be aware of them so that you can easily get to know what your partner is trying to communicate to you. Actions speak louder than words!!

1. Avoid being quiet

Going for a date means that you get to have your own space with your partner. This should be more of a space that makes you feel free and wants to talk more concerning both of you.

If you have ever been on a date where you get to interact more with your partner, you will always look forward to having more and more of that t since you get to learn more and also discover a lot of things that you didn't know about your partner.

Quiet dates tend to be very boring. You always wish that time would go fast and never wish to meet your partner or friend again.

To avoid being so quiet, you can ask your partner questions concerning how they are fairing, and sometimes you can find a way to ask questions related to the surroundings that you are in and how they feel about it.

For example, 'How has your week been?','Have been to this restaurant before?' among other questions.

2. Don't talk too much

Have you ever gone on a date and wished you had failed to show up? Some people talk too much maybe because they are nervous or it's their nature.

Talking too much on dates is very unhealthy. When you show up for a date, put in mind that you are not alone and everyone has their say and thoughts. Allow your date partner to also speak their mind. Get to know what they are thinking about.

3. Avoid using your phone too much

This is one of the most common habits that we come across especially in this present era. Some people will want to share on their social media what they are doing and taking videos and photos might now become the agenda of the date.

The act of obsessively checking your phone every two minutes may be a deal breaker. Nothing is more impolite than trying to converse with someone who is constantly staring at a screen. Checking Instagram can wait, and don't post any status updates, tweets about your date in real-time, or take any candid photos while they're not looking.

Avoid such behaviors. It makes your date partner feels like he/she is not part of the meeting.

This doesn't mean that you should not use your phone at all but you should at times excuse yourself in case you have an emergency.

4. Ask questions

Simply asking questions is a foolproof way to keep the conversation flowing. Keep them semi-general (work, family, hobbies, etc.) until you're both ready to tackle the big issues, such as politics, religion, and exes.

In asking several questions, you also get to know a lot about your partner. You can also take turns in asking questions. Don't be the only one to ask questions.

5. Always be positive

No matter how bad your day at work was, how bad the service was at the restaurant, or how bad the movie you saw was, try your hardest to stay positive when getting to know someone. It'll calm his nerves about whether he's showing you a good time, and it'll simply make you more enjoyable to be around.

When going on dates, make sure to follow some of these guidelines to avoid provoking your date or friend. In this way, you give yourself and your partner more opportunities to go on more and more dates in the future.
