What is in Store for Kalonzo Musyoka in Azimio La Umoja Deal

Political analysts argue that Kalonzo Musyoka is a sough-after man by Azimio la Umoja camp to boost the numbers, but Kalonzo’s lukewarm move towards the group was seen as a  well-calculated move that got proposers from Kenya Kwanza seeking him for unity in the coalition to boost their votes in the coming general elections. Kalonzo changed his mind long after accusing Odinga of betrayal by failing to honor the 2017 NASA agreement.

Moses Wetangula, the FORD Kenya party leader, had cautioned Musyoka against joining deceitful coalitions and that Kenya Kwanza was ready to work together with him.

This also saw the Wiper Supremo indicating that he will never work with the Kenya kwanza camp led by Deputy President William Ruto, meaning that the only options were Azimio or run for the top seat alone.

But what could have changed? Kalonzo had hinted that they were ready for a structured discussion with the team only if the discussions are led by President Uhuru Kenyatta because he does not Raila Odinga. Kalonzo’s chance is getting the Deputy President position, something that might have enticed him to reconsider his position. What is in store is the Deputy Presidents’ position, as reports indicate that Azimio La Umoja will pick their running mate from One Kenya Alliance.
