The Nairobi governor has spoken on banning private cars on the CBD. Instead of totaly banning the cars, Sakaja plans on Hourly parking. Sakaja says that vehicles with passangers have to be given first priority over private cars.

Sakaja has also said that the county will introduce a new model that will see the owners of Private Vehicles to the link to the CBD using the Bus Rapid Transport System (BRT). The rollout is set to begin in the coming weeks with a number of investors showing interest in the mega transport system that has taken years to start. Sakaja says that he is working with the Cabinet Secretary for Transport, Kipchumba Murkomen to ensure a smooth project.
