Gladys Wanga Distances herself over Matungu By-Election Turmoil

Homabay women representative Gladys Wanga has distanced herself concerning the Matungu by- election woes by pinpointing the names of the political, leaders who were responsible for the chaos on March 4th, 2021.

The by-elections that were ongoing across the country were marred with violence and chaos. This even saw the arrest of different leaders including four Tangatanga legislators namely Nandi senator Samson Cherargey, Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa, Chesumei MP Wilson Kogo, and Belgut MP Nelson Koech. They were later taken to Bungoma police station.

Ironically the women representative for Homabay county Gladys Wanga was among other politicians who were summoned to appear before the NCIC Kenya for causing unrest during the by-elections on 4th March.

This came after the renowned Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala and the fierce women Rep for Homabay were involved in a heated altercation that later attributed to a physical brawl in Matungu leading to elections unrest amongst the voters and leaders.

However honorable Gladys Wanga failed to appear before the National Cohesion and Integration Commission {NCIC} Kenya citing a commitment to international women's day that was being celebrated on March 8th Worldwide.

According to Wanga the commission is summoning her to cover up the politicians who caused the unrest and even bribed voters on the day of the election.

While she was addressing women's today, the Homabay women representative Gladys Wanga said that the NCIC Kenya should go for Kakamega senator Cleophas Malala who according to her had goons that were terrorizing the women and other voters during the election day, and also former spots CS  Rashid Echesa who was captured in a video assaulting an IEBC officer.
