House Help Detained After Death Of 5-year-old In Her Care
Police are detaining a housekeeper after a 5-year-old child left in her care in the Kayole area died under suspicious circumstances.

The house help said that the little girl had suffered fatal wounds while playing in their home. She said that the child was struck by a bed while playing alone in the house.
Police examined the body of the deceased girl and the injuries did not match the claims made by the housekeeper. The girl’s body had wounds on her hands, back, and head.
The lady then took the girl to Mama Lucy hospital on Tuesday while she was still unconscious.
It was at the hospital that the child was declared dead and the child's parents were notified about the incident.
According to the police, the child had been living with the help for the past six months, as her mother was away at work during the time.
James Mugera, the head of the Nairobi police, stated that the body was being kept at the hospital morgue pending an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
