A Woman Charged For Burning Her Husband Using Hot Water
Esther Wanjiku Githae, a resident of the Kagira area within Dagoreti sub-county in Nairobi County has been charged in court after she unlawfully assaulted her husband Peter Kariuki on 5th July for coming home late.

Peter Kaiuki was on Monday burned in the chest and face using hot water after he came home late at around 2100hrs.
The Police report sighted by Bright Kenya News stated the husband knocked on the door at around 9 pm on a fateful day, his wife immediately splashed hot water on his face and chest upon opening the door.
The complainant was forced to run to the neighbor's house where he spent the night in pain.
The next morning, he reported the incident at Matini Police Post and proceeded to Riruta Health Centre where he was treated and discharged.
On Wednesday7th July 2021, members of the public contacted the OCS Kabete on suspicion that the woman would flee the area. The OCS then sent police officers who arrested the accused from her house.
She appeared before Kibera Senior Principal Magistrate Monica Maroro and pleaded not guilty and was released on ksh10, 000 cash bail.
