Parents Should Prioritize Their Children's Safety This Holiday Season

This is another break with more focus on how children are handled while at home.

There have been several discussions and reports on the safety of children while with their domestic managers, other children and several sad cases being reported of how they have been molested, defiled and misused by the people mentioned.

This is a wake up call to all the parents in the republic of Kenya to be more cautious and vigilant this holiday season because children's safety is a priority .

For a long time, parents have left the role to teachers whose role  is only to teach them  including the topics on sex education. Many parents  make assumptions that teachers are their best alternative in imparting the required knowledge to them that children are safe and doing well when teachers are with them, forgetting their roles as parents.

Most parents have prioritized their jobs and careers and absconded their duties leaving the children with no one to look after.

This is the reason why several cases have been reported with a larger percentage taken by girls who have been defiled by caregivers.

This 2-month holiday, parents should be at the forefront in ensuring the safety of their children and monitor the behavior of their children so that they can reduce the cases that have been reported across the nation.
