Equity Group Appoints Jonas Mushosho As New Non-Executive Director To Its Board
Equity group holding Public Limited Company (PLC) on Thursday, September 2 announced the appointment of Jonas Mushosho as a Non-Executive Director to its board after the retirement of Christopher Newson.

Speaking while welcoming Jonas on board, Equity Group Chairman Prof. Isaac Macharia said the group was delighted to bring him on board as he is bringing a wealth of board executive leadership experience.
Macharia also commented on the outgoing Non-Executive Director to its board like a seasoned banker across the region who used his experience to serve the board through the provision of strategic oversights.
Jonas Mushosho is a Director at Brooks & Oracle, a council member at Zimbabwe Open University and serves as a non-executive director at Delta Corporation.
Jonas is also the former Chief Executive Officer at Old Mutual Zimbabwe Limited between 2012 and 2019.
He was well magnified as the Managing Director for Old Mutual Rest of Africa, where he was responsible for strategy implementation; stakeholder management; investment performance management; governance and compliance, and functional effectiveness of the Old Mutual Business in 12 countries in the continent.
The newly appointed Non-Executive Director to the Equity board holds a Bachelor of Accounting Science from the University of South Africa, a Bachelors Degree in Accounting, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Zimbabwe.
