Taking to his social media, Rigathi, who has been a great critic of the process has hinted that the President should apologize to Kenyans for overspending the taxpayer’s money on an illegal process.

The President owes the people of Kenya an apology for spending Billions of Shillings of taxpayers' money on a useless and illegal process when millions of Kenyans have no food.”

Gachagua’s sentiments came minutes after the Supreme Court termed the BBI process unconstitutional.

The BBI process had lost in the high court and in the court of appeal but its opponents took the matter to the Supreme court.

Rigathi further thanked the Judges of the High court, the Court of Appeal, and the Supreme Court for terming the process unconstitutional.

“The Judges at the High Court, the Court of Appeal, and the Supreme Court have done their job in rejecting project BBI.”

In what was seen as a direct attack on the president, Gachagua said that the President failed to listen to the voice of Kenyans and went ahead to act outside the law.

He further added that the president was trying to get his handshake partner Raila Odinga a position in the government.

We told President Uhuru Kenyatta from day one that the BBI process was an unconstitutional attempt on his part to extend his rule outside the law. We told him that the law would not allow him to create the position of Prime Minister for his brother. We told him that constitutional changes were not a priority for the people of Kenya. We told him that the people of Kenya wanted economic changes to save them from the economic woes and challenges created by his Government.

Gachagua is a die-hard supporter of William Ruto who has also been a critique of the process since its inception.
