Some ladies prefer very short nails while others prefer lengthy nails. But before making your nails, you need to consult your nail technician on the best nail or art to use. Your nails are your choice!
Nail technician
A nail technician is someone whose job is to style and shape people's nails. The job is accomplished by decorating nails with colored varnish, transfers, gems, or glitter.

A nail technician is trained in the techniques of cleaning, filing, and grooming fingernails and toenails, which includes cuticle trimming and removal, moisturizing the skin of the hands and feet, removing dead skin in both areas, and performing a light massage to improve circulation and relaxation.
Nail technicians can treat natural nails on the hands and feet as well as apply acrylic nails, gel coverings, or a silk strengthener. Following these treatments, the nails can be polished, French manicured or decorated with an airbrush design. If the customer wishes, small jewelry and decals can be added.
Types of manicures
There are several types of manicures that nail technicians can do. Here's a list.
1. Gel Manicure
According to Duguay-Gordon, a gel manicure is a service that uses a gel-based polish and a UV or LED light to cure the polish and lock it onto your nails. "Gel polish lasts longer than regular polish," she says. And, unlike regular polish, which can chip in two to three days, the gel stays chip-free for weeks.

2. Basic Manicure
Most manicures start with a basic manicure, but this can be a simple and beautiful look in its own right. This involves first applying an oil, lotion, or cream to your cuticles, followed by soaking your hands in warm water. Your cuticles will then be managed, and you will be able to choose the shape and length of your nails. Oils will then be massaged into your hands. Your stylist will then apply a base coat, the main coat, and finally a top coat of polish.

3. French Manicure
The French manicure is the most classic of manicure styles, and it is most likely the look you associate with getting a manicure. It's a simple and elegant look, with a clear, beige, or pale pink polish covering the entire nail and white polish on top.

4. American manicure
This style is similar to a French manicure, but the shape and color of the nails set it apart. The American manicure aims for a more subtle, natural appearance. The tips are rounded, and off-white or neutral colors are used on the tips instead of the bright whites used in French manicures.

5. Parrafin manicure
This may be the best option if your hands are particularly overworked or dry. This manicure involves applying paraffin wax to the hands to instantly infuse moisture and smoothness. Paraffin manicures also include a more vigorous hand massage as well as a basic manicure appearance.

6. Acrylic Manicure
If you bite your nails, it's time to learn about acrylic manicures. This manicure adds length to your fingertips by placing extensions over your natural nail. Unlike gel nails, acrylic is not a 'finished' product; it is made up of powder and liquid that your technician will mix during the mani.

One thing that is slowly emerging is the world's speedy technology. As usual, one goes to the nail technician to get his/ her services. With the technology phases that have been seen to emerge, there could be a possibility of nail technicians losing their jobs in the near future. In a video seen online, there's a machine that is able to design nails to your preferred pattern and color.
When this machine becomes easily available to the beauty owners, most of them might prefer to cut off some workers since the machines are able to perform the client's preferred needs.
