After the family failed to locate the second-born child in a family of two, he was reported missing on the evening of Saturday, March 26.

Emmanuel’s body a Grade 5 student from Sathya-sai School on the Isinya-Kiserian road was discovered today in a pool of blood in a derelict three-bedroom house a few meters from his parents' home.

Before they discovered the murder site, neighbors spotted bloodstains leading to the house. A chisel and a hummingbird were discovered nearby.

"I saw the body that had been mutilated. The criminals must have had plenty of time to carry out their crimes and hide their tracks. Since the youngster went missing, no one has heard a distress call," remarked a neighbor.

Young Kipkemboi died after numerous stabs in the head, according to a postmortem performed today at Shalom Hospital in Athi River.

There were 17 stab wounds in the head and neck of the body.

"This is a heinous crime. We're puzzled as to why someone would wish a young boy to die. Police should move quickly and bring our loved one to justice," the boy's uncle, George Kipsang, spoke on behalf of the family.

Preliminary findings, according to Isinya sub-county Police Commander Ancent Kaloki, indicate a suspected family conflict.

"We believe the individual who enticed the youngster to his death was someone he knew. We're following important leads to figure out who committed the murder," he stated.

The body is being preserved at the Shalom Community Mortuary.
