Night power outage

Kenya Kwanza party leader William Ruto was the only one who attended the second session of the presidential debate.

According to a statement released by the company through its social media platforms, Kenyans in parts of Western, South Nyanza, North Rift, Central Rift, and Nairobi North experienced the blackout the night.

KPLC revealed that the loss of power supply was due to "a system disturbance at the c high voltage transmission power line that tripped several power circuits and affected power generation."

The power loss mainly affected the Muhoroni gas turbine station and the Turkwell hydropower station.

Kenyans are now asking the KPLC company if they will be able to keep the power on even as the general elections approach in order to avoid any inconveniences during the period.
