Speaker Muturi, Karua, Kibwana and Kituyi Forms a Coalition Ahead of 2022 Presidential Elections

National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi, Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana, NARC-Kenya party leader Martha Karua, and Dr. Mukhisa Kituyi have hinted at working together ahead of the 2022 general election.

The leaders were hosted by the Makueni Governor to commission several projects in the area while pledging to work together to gift Kenyans the best president who will steer the country on a transformative path.

The four leaders said they believe they will receive overwhelming support from Kenyans and that there is no reason for retreat.

They said their alliance must be part and parcel of the team that will bring change to Kenya. 

Kibwana, Muturi, Mukhisa, and Karua have held meetings under the banner of the National Alliance for Change, which they say is their vehicle for 2022.

The four leaders who harbor presidential ambitions unveiled Muungano wa Wazalendo translated as Unity of Patriots following talks with their host Governor Kivutha.

Speaker Muturi said that the new formation needs blessings from and God and Kenyans, conjecturing that they do not need any blessing from other leaders in the country.

“I am asking that you may support us so that we walk together to ensure we get accountable leaders who have your issues at heart,” Muturi said.

Karua said that it's time the country embraces change in how its affairs are run.

“We cannot change this country by doing things the same way. We must depart from our chaotic and divisive politics to chart a new path for Kenya. We also need new leaders free from corruption,” Karua said.
