How To Prepare Fish In Thick Coconut Sauce
Fish in coconut sauce is one of the most liked dishes. Fish is a staple meal in the lake region of Kenya, where people prefer to source fresh fish. Fish is a rich source of protein and a good substitute for red meat.
Here are a few steps to prepare a rich delicious tilapia stew.
Ingredient
1 large fried tilapia
1 large onion thinly chopped
1 green capsicum
2 medium-sized onions
Cooking oil
Ginger and garlic paste
Coriander, chopped
1 tbsp Paprika
½ tsp black pepper
2 tbsp of tomato paste
2 tbsp coconut cream powder
Salt to season
Water
Procedure
Place a cooking pan on medium heat and add three tablespoons of cooking oil.
Add chopped onions and sauté until soft and translucent
Add ginger-garlic paste and cook until nice and fragrant
Add capsicum and tomatoes, then stir
Add in paprika and any other preferred spices
Add tomato paste, stir, then pour some water int
Put coconut powder in half a cup of water and mix
Pour the coconut mix into the water and stir
Season with salt and black pepper
Cover the pot and boil until the sauce thickens
Place your fried fish in the thick mixture and let it cook until it softens.
Add in coriander and turn off the heat
