Esther Passaris' Message to President Ruto As He Takes Office
Taking to her Twitter account, Nairobi women representative, Esther Muthoni Passaris has come out to give her message to the fifth president of the republic of Kenya as he takes office on September 13.
Passaris went on to congratulate and wish President William Ruto the best of luck during his tenure.
"I sincerely wish William Ruto the best in his tenure. Congratulations to those who voted for him," Passaris stated.
On the other hand, she also stated how Azimio la Umoja coalition had gone through a difficult time as their party leader Raila Odinga lost to President William Ruto.
As tears flow freely, I know Kenya has lost an opportunity that only God can restore. I sincerely wish @WilliamsRuto the best in his tenure. Congratulations to those who voted for him. Despite our pain as Azimio family; the best of @RailaOdinga shines in all of us today. pic.twitter.com/DmrMVbrams

Esther affirmed that their able leader was still Raila Odinga who had earlier communicated that he will not be able to attend the inauguration ceremony held today at the Kasarani stadium, Nairobi.
Raila stated in a statement that he was invited to the event but will be unable to attend.
"I received a letter and a telephone call from Ruto inviting me to his inauguration set for tomorrow, September 13, 2022. I regret however that I will not be available for the inauguration because I am out of the country and I also have other serious concerns," Raila stated.
Raila has also been seen not to accept the outcome of the August general elections.
"First, I believe that the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission, the body in charge of our elections, did not conduct a free and fair election," Raila added.
