Kirinyaga governor, Anne Waiguru, has again hit the headline after she proclaimed these, just a day to 2021 Mashujaa Day.

Waiguru's Political Anxieties Ahead Of 2021 Kirinyaga Mashujaa Day

Speaking on Monday evening, October 18, the Kirinyaga governor stated that the Mount Kenya region is waiting for President Uhuru Kenyatta's declaration on who he will support for the 2022 presidential election.

Focusing on the Mashujaa day, Waiguru said a day in politics is too long and anything can change even before Mashujaa Day and that Uhuru's choice of candidate will be a game-changer in the region.

She, however, urged President Kenyatta not to choose a preferred candidate directly.

weighing on the state of the jubilee party in the region, Waiguru claimed that Jubilee Party no longer has prospects to retain seats in the region.

"If you listen to the ground and especially to the younger people, they tend to relate with UDA", she added.

Waiguru's declarations come after the address of President Kenyatta in Kirinyaga County ahead of the Mashujaa day, Wednesday, October 20.

In his address, the president abandoned endorsing Orange Democratic Movement party leader Raila Odinga for the 2022 presidential election.
