Vini Junior 'two good' for La Liga basement boy's.
Real Madrid's Vinicíus Junior celebrates against Elche in the La Liga Santander. The Brazilian scored a brace as Madrid stay atop of the table.

'Los Blancos' were looking to bounce off last week's disappointing 0-0 draw to Osasuna as they faced Elche, a team winless against the Merengues since March1978.

Elche startred off well and twenty minutes in couldhave handed themselves an equalizer but Thibaut Courtois drove away a Lucas Boyè' effort with his palm.

That chance would haunt the home team later on as Vini Jnr put the visitor's in the lead after equalizing in the 22nd minute. The Brazilian received an expert pass from Mariano Dìaz to drive his effort into the bottom corner.

Mariano Dìaz was at it again almost immediately as he rounded off Kiko Casilla at a tight angle but could only find the side netting.

Raul Gutì wasted a perfect opportunity to level it for the home team but wastws his chance, firing his volley straight into the hands of Thibaut Courtois. The midfielder definitely had a bad day in office as he received his marching orders minutes later after a rash challenge.

Real Madrid found their second as Vinicìus once again was on the scoresheet as he chipped delicately past the former Madrid keeper Casilla from close range to give the visitor's all three points.

The home team were able to get a consolation thanks to substitute Pere Mila after a Madrid defensive relapse. The result moves Madrid top of the table meanwhile Elche lurk in the drop zone with just two points saving them.
