Professor Makau Mutua Appointed Raila’s Campaign Spokesperson
ODM party leader Raila Odinga has appointed Professor Makau Mutua as his campaign spokesperson.

In a letter signed by the former prime minister, Mutua has been appointed as the campaign's spokesperson and head of itsThink Tank.
“It is my pleasure to appoint Professor Makau Mutua the spokesperson of the Raila Odinga 2022 presidential campaign and head of its Think Tank,” read part of the statement.
According to Odinga, Professor Mutua holds several qualifications including, having served as a dean at the SUNY Buffalo Law school, the state university of New York among other occupations.
The former dean has also served in government appointment positions such as the chair of the Task force on the establishment of a truth, justice and reconciliation commission in 2003.
Mutua is also widely known through his weekly column at the Sunday Nation.
His appointment comes at a time when the Wiper leader, Kalonzo Musyoka, accused him of breaching an MOU agreement between the former vice president and the ODM party leader.
Kalonzo further stated that Mutua could not lead any negotiations between the two parties in the agreement after he openly announced to support Odinga’s presidential bid.
On his part, Professor Mutua thanked the former prime minister for the privilege to serve in the positions adding that Odinga’s march to statehouse was unstoppable.
“Thanks Baba for the trust you’ve placed in me and the privilege of serving you and the people of Kenya in these vital roles. Our march to State House is unstoppable. Because it’s DESTINY,” read his twitter post.
