NUP Leader Bobi Wine has been Arrested

Bobi Wine was arrested on March 15th when he was leading a peaceful demonstration with his supporters in Downtown Kampala Uganda to protest against the brutal killings and abductions that have been ongoing towards his supporters ever since the election heat began.

According to media sources in Uganda, the NUP party boss was apprehended in Kampala, City Square, on Monday afternoon where he was leading what he termed as peaceful protests that were seeking justice for the release of the party's supporters who have been missing for months now.

Mr. Kyagulanyi argued that over 3000 of his supporters have been missing since the beginning of the 2021 General election campaigns back in November 2020.

Bobi Wine had emerged as the second runner-up with 3.6 million votes in the January 14th elections that took place this year 2021.

On the other hand, the elections saw president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni securing his position by emerging as the victor with 6 million votes.

However, the elections were later challenged by the opposition leader Bobi wine days after the announcement.

It is now alleged that the protests that are being experienced in Uganda are one of the means that is being used by Wine to reject President Museveni's government.
