Tottenham’s search for a new coach has finally come to an end after Nuno Espirito was appointed as Jose Mourinho’s successor. Ryan Mason had earlier been filled as a caretaker boss following Mourinho’s sacking in April.

The managerial job had earlier been linked with many managers including Mauricio Pochettino, Antonio Conte, Paulo Fonseca, and Gennaro Gattuso but Spurs instead turned to Nuno after his 4-year contract with Wolves became to an end.

Nuno Espirito has signed a deal until 2023 with Spurs where he will work alongside the new director of football Fabio Paratici.

The 47-year-old Portuguese will start his new role amid uncertainty over the future of England captain Harry Kane, with Manchester City reportedly bidding £100 for the prolific striker.

Nuno had a successful career in Molineux Stadium after he helped the Wolves to reach the Europa League Quarterfinals in the 2019/20 season.
