Speaking at an interview, Ledama who is  a die-hard supporter of Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga, he said that he was worried if the Azimio movement would defeat UDA in the comming polls.

I’m not worried about the 25 political parties what I’m worried about is the strategy to be able to defeat UDA.”

Addressing the issue of nomination within the Azimio coalition, the legislator said that the nomination will be a party issue and then agreements done later on within the coalition.

I’m not worried about nominations, every political party let us carry their nomination but ultimately, after each political party carry out its nomination, In the Azimio movement I would hope that, our coalition would sit down together, and agree on who to sponsor.” Ledama said.

His sentiments have been misinterpreted by many to mean that the Azimio movement would not win the presidential election in the August 9th elections.

Ledama has been pushing for Raila’s Presidential bid in the coming election, attending campaign trails and warning Kenyans against a William Ruto candidature.

Ledama is a Member of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) and has not yet announced his preferred seat in the coming elections.

This comes at a time when both Raila and Ruto have been traversing the country popularizing their presidential bids with their troops to the Kenyan people.

Raila for instance, has been in the western region while Ruto took his campaigns to the Eastern part of the country.
