Finish and Go!! Moses Kuria Warns Uhuru’s Team against Plans to Postpone 2022 Elections

While taking it to his Social Media, Moses Kuria alleged that there are plans by influential people in government to postpone next year’s general elections to a later date due to coronavirus, therefore, extending Uhuru’s term.

Kuria, therefore, urged the president not to fall for the bait while adding that it will be noble for him to finish his term in the stipulated time by the constitution whether Covid-19 will still be there or not.

"I have heard enough doubters from Kieleweke and Handshake say that the 2022 General Elections could be postponed because of COVID-19, don't try it, just finish and go," Kuria wrote.

Kuria’s post comes shortly after political analyst Herman Manyora said the Head of State should postpone the next year’s election to save the country which he said was on the verge of “collapsing”.

According to Manyora, the country is currently incapable of funding the general election unless plans of cost-cutting measures were taken.

“We ought and, in fact, we should postpone the 2022 elections. We must address these problems first before we can think of going to the next election. If we don't do it, this country will crash," said Manyora.

Manyora feels the country should suspend the slated general elections and focus on the ways to fight the Covid-19 spread in the country.
