COTU Boss Atwoli Urges Labour PS & CS to Revise Policies on Labour Employment to the Middle East

Following the increased cases of Kenyans being maltreated while working in the Middle East for greener pastures, the Central Organization of Trade Unions (COTU) Secretary General Francis Atwoli on Tuesday 27th July urged the labour Principal Secretary Engineer Peter K. Tum, OGW and Labour Cabinet Secretary  Simon Chelugui to revise the policies on labour employment of young youths to the Middle East especially in Dubai.

This comes at a time Working abroad has become a menace to many Kenyans as they only find the unexpected with some coming back home in coffins and some coming back traumatized.

COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli is currently at the forefront of ensuring that workers' rights are respected both in the country and for those working abroad.

He has also been protecting the interests of workers against discrimination and unfair labour practice and also providing them with a blanket cover to stand up for their interests through the formation of trade unions.
