Among the leaders who joined the CCM, the party included Korrosi ward Member of County Assembly aspirant  Lamong Cephas among other aspirants.

“ We welcome the new members to join CCM. This is of course a big win for our party and that any interested aspirant is welcomed to join  our party so that we can move together.” Said Ruto.

Isaac Ruto is looking to grow his political party as he prepares to work together with other like-minded parties but has shown in public that Deputy President William Ruto is his preferred presidential candidate.

Isaac who is eyeing to bounce back to become Bomet County Chief after losing it to the late Dr. Joyce Laboso is facing a tough battle from incumbent  Prof. Hillary Barchok and Former CAS John Mosnik who both are in a fierce contest to fly the UDA flag in the coming elections.

According to Isaac Ruto, he is confident that he will clinch the seat and that the agenda he introduced at the county aimed at assisting Bomet residents was never implemented after he left office. The governor also accuses Barchok of sacking the staff employed during his tenure. He also claims that during the Deputy President visit in the County, the residents sent a signal that a CCM candidate was fit for the position.

“ The people of Bomet County are already aware of the person they need. They need transformative plans to assist them to uplift their livelihoods’’ Said Ruto.

The former county boss called on Bomet County people to be cautious on the type of leaders they choose but drummed support for the Deputy President ticket.
