The registered farmers will then be trained to access farm supplies via mobile phones as the National Potato Council works on a digital platform to connect potato farmers directly to buyers.

The project will enable potato farmers to sell their products even when the prices a low. They will also be able to access loans to help them grow. This potato subsidy project may strengthen the overall potato sector.
