Uproar as this CBC Assignment Goes Viral {video}

Kenyans on Twitter have reacted angrily to a popular video of kids preaching on the streets as a way of doing their homework.

A notice from the diary of Environmental subject reads, "With the help of your parents or guardians, organize a crusade at your nearby market where you will preach and conduct prayers," according to a viral photo posted by students on social media.

The notice went on from there. “Take pictures of the events, prepare a report, and give a presentation in class.”Parents have expressed their dissatisfaction with the new curriculum, stating that it is good yet inconvenient for ever-busy parents looking for daily bread.

The viral videos of children preaching on the streets come barely days after Education professor George Magoha refuted claims that the competency-based curriculum was not properly researched and is too expensive for Kenya to implement.

He addressed the claims while attending a conference held by the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development earlier on September 14th.

“It is unfair for you to ask how much it will cost to implement the CBC, that is a question for those who never went to school instead ask how much the government is allocating to the learners". He stated.
