UPDATE: Twitter Back to Normal After World`s Outage

Thousands of customers in the United Kingdom, the United States, and Kenya reported the outage to the web monitoring service Down Detector. By 1.30 pm UK time, there had been 29,266 complaints, with 54,994 in the US.

When the page loaded, it flashed an error message and encouraged users to try again. The majority of reported issues were accessing the Twitter app and website. It soon started to return.

The main page of Twitter stated that there was a mistake in logging in, with the message.

"Something went wrong, but don’t fret — it’s not your fault. Let’s try again" being visible on the login page.

Tweetdeck, a social media dashboard application for managing Twitter accounts, was also hit by the outage.
According to The Guardian, the platform went down at 12:55 p.m. UK time, one of the site's longest outages in years.

Although Twitter was renowned for breaking under heavy demand in its early days, with older users fondly recalling the "fail whale" error message that flashed when the server was over capacity, the service has not been down for more than two and a half hours since 2016.

Following several checks, the platform quickly resumed operations and has yet to provide an official remark.
