You had too much caffeine or chocolate.

The caffeine in coffee or chocolate may cause hyper reaction of nerves around the eye area and cause eye twitching. Anything that stimulates your nervous system will dispose you to eye twitching. The moment you cut off on stimulants, you will notice a reduction on frequency of eye twitching.

High blood pressure.
