The Late IEBC RO, Geoffrey Gitobu, To Be Laid To Rest On Wednesday In Meru County
Geoffrey Gitobu, the IEBC returning officer for the Gichugu constituency, will be buried on August 31, 2022.

The late Gitobu will be buried at his rural home in Ntugi, Buuri constituency of Meru county, according to Kirinyaga county returning officer Jane Gitonga.
According to Gitonga, preparations for the event, which is expected to draw his coworkers, are currently in their final stages.
On August 22, the late Gitobu unexpectedly passed away after collapsing in Nanyuki town. He was urgently taken to Nanyuki Cottage Hospital but was pronounced dead.
An autopsy performed on his body two days later determined that there was no sign of foul play and that he had died naturally.
According to the report, he passed away following a heart attack brought on by a blood clot in the pulmonary artery. The pathologists who attended to his body claimed the late was also anemic.
Following the incident, samples from the deceased's body were taken to a government laboratory for additional examination and conclusive tests.
There had been rumors that he was allegedly murdered. but the postmortem disproved the rumor by showing that there were no wounds or signs of struggle on his body.
