National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi arrives at Mukurwe wa Nyagathanga Shrine in Murang'a County for his coronation as the GEMA community official spokesman.

Speaker Justin Muturi arrived at the shrine in the company of Kikuyu elders who will be conducting the ceremony even as Murang’a County says it is not aware of such an event.
A division has however erupted between the Kikuyu elders and political leaders over Muturi’s planned coronation.
National chairman of Kikuyu elders Ndung’u wa Gaithuma and his deputy have distanced themselves from the coronation ceremony which is being led by Murang’a branch chairman Kiarii Rugami.
Muranga county governor Mwangi Wa Iria had yesterday vowed to disrupt the ceremony claiming it was illegal.
