On February 2, Dorcas Nthenya Joseph, took the stand in the Milimani courts before Senior Principal Magistrate, Robinson Ondiek, to face the allegations on forgery.

She has been accused of forging a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with the intent to defraud.

Dorcas has reportedly claimed that the certificate was from Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC). She denied the charges against her and was On Thursday Released on cash bail.

Her next appearance in court is set for April 7, for further discussions regarding her case.

On the same trend, a municipal lawyer, Simon Kamere, in the same court was accused of forging a will. The man is said to have forged the document dated May 29, 2014, claiming it was an authentic document signed by the deceased with the objective to grab the estate of the late Pius Kimani Mwaura.

On March 17, 2020, at the same building, Kamere was charged with knowingly and fraudulently handing over a fake will to one Monica Njoki Kimani.

Ms Njoki is the daughter of the late Mwaura, according to the charging sheet. The lawyer was released after posting a Sh1 million bond or Sh500,000 cash bail. On April 7, his case will be discussed as well.
