"ODM Politicians Abandoned Me Before Sharon's Burial" Sharon Otieno's Mother Explains On Choosing Ruto's UDA For Homabay MCA Seat Pursuit
Melida Auma, the Mother of the slain Sharon Otieno, discloses why she is seeking the seat for the Homa Bay Town West Member of County assembly through Ruto's United Democratic Alliance party.

While declaring her intention to seek the Homa Bay Town West MCA seat through Ruto's United Democratic Alliance(UDA) party, the mother of the late Rongo University student condemned the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) politicians for abandoning her before Sharon's burial.
She also added that the Orange Democratic Movement party does not give its tickets easily and that Ruto's party is the ideal party for any aspirant with the urge of articulating pertinent issues that affect Kenyans.
Melida has propelled herself in politics and believes she stands a chance of beating the Orange Democratic Movement wave in the region.
The ward representative believes that on winning the political seat she will be in a much better position to improve the living standards of her children and grandchildren.
Auma says she is already receiving supports though not yet there.
Sharon's mother's declaration comes three years after her daughter and her unborn child were brutally killed by unknown assailants, a murder case involving the Migori Governor Zachary Okoth Obado.
