Moses Kuria Declares Interest to Run for Kiambu Gubernatorial Seat

Kuria, in a post he made on his official Facebook page, said he was ready to trounce Nyoro who has only served for two years after his former boss Ferdinand Waititu was impeached over alleged embezzlement of public funds, gross misconduct, and abuse of office.

"The voice of the people is the voice of God. So help me God. Under your wings I feel safe," he posted.

Kuria will be joining an already crowded race that has seen at least 6 politicians express interest in the county's top leadership.

Others who have expressed interest are Nyoro, Kiambu senator Kimani Wamatangi, Thika Town MP Patrick Wainaina, University lecturer Juliet Kimemia, Kiambu County Assembly Speaker Stephen Ndichu among others.

With Kuria's new entry, a heated contest is expected with Kiambu voters now left with various options to choose from.
