LSK President Havi Reacts Following Justice Gitumbi`s Suspension
Law Society of Kenya`s President Nelson Havi reacted on Tuesday 24th following the suspension of Justice Mary Gitumbi by President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The Environment and Land Court judge Mary Muthoni`s suspension followed a recommendation for her removal by the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) on grounds of mental incapacity.
President Kenyatta named tribunal to look into her removal from office.
According to Havi on his Twitter account, he stated that they could have been other ways to deal with the matter.

“Are there no better ways of handling the mental issue about Justice Muthoni Gitumbi? This is a problem that existed on her appointment. A negotiated exit will resolve the problem better than a publicized Tribunal hearing which will impact negatively on the Judiciary”. Stated Nelson Havi.
