Kericho County to Host 41st KECOSO Games in July

Kericho County will host the 41st edition of the Kenya Communication Sports Organisation (KECOSO) games in July this year.

Members of KECOSO governing council today made a courtesy call at the office of the governor  to discuss areas of partnership towards the preparations for the games slated for 25th-29th of July.

The County Secretary, Mr. Joel Bett, on behalf of H.E. Prof. Paul Kiprono Chepkwony, EGH, promised to work closely with the council in ensuring the success of the week-long event.

As a curtain raiser to the games, the council plans to have a golf tournament at the historic Kericho Golf club on April 30th, 2022.

“ We will ensure that there is a success in the games and we will  together with other stakeholder  work jointly to actualize this dream’’ said Bett.

KECOSO is a recreational corporate social responsibility initiative that brings together employees from various government ministries such as; Transport, Infrastructure, Housing, Urban Development, ICT, Sports, and Heritage.

According to KECOSO Secretary General, Omole Asiko, participants will compete in various disciplines and categories and the best teams will be awarded.

“We will have variety of categories in the upcoming games such as   such as Football, Volleyball, Snooker, Darts, Netball, Golf, Table tennis and Basketball,”  said Omoke.

This is the second time that Kericho County is hosting the games.
