In a lengthy and heartfelt message posted on his Twitter page, Tuchel thanked all his fans for making him feel "quite welcome from the outset" of what turned out to be a highly successful term in west London.

"This is a club where I felt at home, both professionally and personally. Thank you so much to all the staff, the players, and the supporters for making me feel very welcome from the start".

He also added that he was very grateful and honored to have been part of the club.

"The pride and joy I felt at helping the team to win the Champions League and the Club World Cup will stay with me forever. I am honoured to have been a part of this club’s history and the memories of the last 19 months will always have a special place in my heart.

Tuchel is set to be replaced by Graham Potter, who has so far signed a five-year contract with Chelsea. He will take over for Tuchel, along with a few backroom staff members from Brighton and Hove Albion.

The Blues are reportedly willing to pay up to £10 million to get the 47-year-old out of his contract, and they are prepared to do so if required.
However, the former Seagulls manager will now have to wait longer than anticipated before making his Premier League debut with the Blues due to the demise of Queen Elizabeth II on Thursday.

Mr. Thomas was Sacked on September 7th because Chelsea's new ownership wanted a head coach that was heavily invested in the club's future – and not just in the months ahead. They ultimately didn't feel that was Tuchel.
