Ex-Meru Sports CEC Arrested Over Forged Academic Papers

Daniel Kiogora, the former Meru Sports Chief Executive Committee has been arrested by the Officials from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission over alleged Academic papers forgery.

This follows the report received by the anti-graft agency indicating that the former CEC had allegedly forged his Bachelor of Commerce degree certificate from the University of Nairobi.

The Accusers added that Mr. Kiogora presented the said forged certificate to secure his appointment as CEC.

 Yasin Amaro who is the EACC Spokesperson confirmed that  Kiogora is currently at the agency's office in Meru.

Mr. Maro also reported that officials have investigated the matter for a while.

He said the file was forwarded to the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) with recommendations to charge the county official with forgery.
