DP Ruto Endorsed as UDA’s Party Presidential Candidate.

Deputy president William Ruto has today been endorsed by the United Democratic Movement (UDA) party as its presidential flagbearer in the august 9th general elections.

Ruto was endorsed today at the Kasarani Indoor arena during the party’s national delegates convention.

In an indoor meeting, the party unanimously endorsed Ruto as its National party leader

The unveiling of Ruto as the National party leader marked the formal exit of William Ruto as jubilee party’s deputy party leader a position he had been replaced during Jubilee’s NDC.

Ruto is expected to contest for the presidency against the Azimio team that announced Raila Odinga as its coalition presidential flagbearer.

At the UDA’S NDC, leaders supporting Ruto’s presidential bid are expected to make an appearance. Some of the leaders present at the NDC include, ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi, who is accompanied by Nairobi senator Johnson Sakaja and Kakamega senator Cleophas Malala.

Ford Kenya party leader Moses Wetangula is also present at the NDC.

Both Musalia and Wetangula had left the One Kenya Alliance to form a coalition with Ruto’s UDA party to form the Kenya kwanza coalition.

Other members present at the NDC incluide Businessman Jimmy Wanjigi, Chama cha Kazi party leader Moses Kuria, Tujibebe Wakenya party leader william Kabogo, and The service party leader Mwangi Kiunjuri.
