According to his brother, the blogger had gone missing since Tuesday last week and was being sought by his friends in Nairobi, where he was based.

"He has been missing since Tuesday. That was when he was last seen online, and I received the last communication from him. It was upon the learning of his death that I realised he had been inactive on social media. He was very active on social media, but his accounts have since been deleted," the brother said.

Frank's brother confirmed that Obegi's body had been identified at the City Mortuary by a close friend of the deceased.

"I received the news this morning from a friend close to him and knew his whereabouts. The lady who informed me about his death had gone to City Mortuary and confirmed that it was him," he disclosed.

He went on to say that the family first found out about the tragic news after it was covered on Sunday night, June 19, and he last spoke to his brother on Tuesday, June 14, the day he later learned was Obegi's last known location.

The brother went on to say that he had no idea that his deceased brother, who was constantly online, had gone days without posting and that his accounts had been removed for unknown reasons.

According to him, Obegi had not indicated any threats to his life.

Following the recovery of the four bodies discovered abandoned at Kijabe Forest in Kiambu County over the weekend of Saturday, June 18 and Sunday, June 19, the police launched an investigation into the murders.
