VIDEO: Popular Alchemist Restaurant on the Spot Again
The popular Alchemist restaurant, Nairobi is on the trend again after a viral video was published by a source. The trending video has sparked many reactions from Kenyans on Twitter (KOT).
Leah Mukangai In the video, a woman is seen being carried and dragged out of the restaurant's entry. The victim is also seen to be carried and mishandled by two men at the entrance as other people walk into the restaurant.
Several people have also come out to state their opinions and thoughts on why the victim was mishandled.
This incident comes barely a month after the restaurant was on the spot when a bouncer was allegedly caught on tape sending a Black patron out of a line that appeared to be entirely made up of non-Blacks, to see if the guests in question were denied entry and if there was a policy in place to separate the lines for guests.
From the incident, the Alchemist apologized for the incident stating that "To anyone who has felt aggrieved, we sincerely apologize. We look forward to sitting down together and addressing these issues head-on."
In August 2018, the club was also attacked after a customer claimed that security had refused her seating because the seats were only for White Kenyans and Kenyans of Asian origin.
