Uproar as US Embassy Warns It`s Citizens Against Travelling to Kisumu
Netizens became furious on Wednesday 3rd August over the United States embassy travel advisory warning its citizens not to visit Kisumu city as the election dates approach.

The netizens stated that the US has already anticipated that there will be violence in Kisumu instead of preaching for peace.
In the statement dated August 2, 2022, the Embassy stated that it was issuing the advisory out of "abundance of caution".
"Kenya is scheduled to hold elections on August 9, 2022. Campaigning for local and national offices is fully underway. Kenya has periodically experienced some pre-electoral violence during election cycles. Election-related demonstrations and rallies regularly take place in the runup to the election and are likely to continue, at times blocking key intersections and causing traffic jams. Demonstrations may occasionally be violent, requiring police intervention. Strikes and other protest activities related to economic conditions occur regularly," the Embassy said.
"Out of an abundance of caution, the Embassy has imposed movement restrictions on personnel in Kisumu. The State Department reminds U.S. citizens of the continued need for sustained vigilance," the statement added.
"US embassy MUST stop behaving like TANGA TANGA campaigners in their advisories. I think we have a CORRUPT ambassador in Kenya who wants a corrupt regime" stated blogger Alai.
Reacting to the same statement issued on Tuesday 2nd August Kisumu Governor Anyang` Nyong`o rubbished such claims and further invited people from different parts of the country to visit Kisumu.
"I read in the paper that the US embassy has issued a travel advisory to people about Kisumu. I'm ignorant about this, as far as I know, Kisumu has been very peaceful." Anyang Nyong'o assures Kenyans and foreigners of safety in Kisumu County
So the US Embassy predicting chaos in Kisumu has them labelled pledging allegiance to KK. Their Intel is credible and they know something we're not being told ????????????

However, US Embassy was forced to clarify its statement further saying that Kisumu hosts a significant number of its personnel and is a frequent travel destination for the American citizen.
