Sister to Msando`s SideChick Reveals How Low Phone Battery Saved Her Life

The sister to late Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission ICT Manager Chris Msando`s side chick Carol revealed on Sunday 31st to an NTV journalist that a low battery charge on her phone literally saved her life on the fateful day her sister met her untimely death.

In a viral video seen by this publication, Jedidah stated that on a fateful day she was to go and have a coffee date meet up in the evening with the duo.

Apparently, as the time drew closer, her sister Carol Ngumu called to inquire about her whereabouts; fortunately, she was still delayed at work due to a customer.

"They were to meet and she told me that Chris (Msando) had informed her that he was getting into a meeting. He was to attend another meeting and she was to wait for him.

Wanjiku, stated that her sister had called her at around nine in the evening to let her know that Msando had arrived and was waiting for her to continue their meetings after he had finished his meetings for the day.

"Caro called me and asked where I was. I told her I am coming, I was dealing with a client (at the time). My phone's battery died and I began looking for a charger. The charger, however, failed to work. I contemplated going to town with a dead phone without any cash. I decided to just go home," Jedidah explained.

She claimed it was the last time she spoke to the pair, and on July 28, 2017, it was announced that they had been killed and abandoned in Kikuyu's Muguga Forest.

"They were waiting for me. Even when Chris arrived, she called and informed me. It was around 9 p.m. and that is how I missed them. If I had showed up, I would have been with them," she added.

However, Five years after the murder, the family spoke to the media for the first time on Sunday. They criticized the state for its neglect, stating that they had not yet received information regarding the investigations since giving statements.

Serah Ngumbu, Ngumbu's mother, who was unaware of her daughter's relationship with Msando, pleaded with the government to assist the family in repaying a loan they acquired to pay for her studies.
