The latest to comment on Mama Ngina’s Sentiments is Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei. Speaking on an interview at a local station, Cherargei has urged the former first lady to preach unity and peace instead.

What she should have done as the former First Lady is to preach on unity and love,” Cherargei said.

Cherargei further added that Mama Ngina could be taking care of her grandchildren adding that he had the right of supporting and campaigning for any candidate of her choice.

“I wish she would keep off politics. If she decides to play politics when the field becomes crowded, stay in the firing line.” Cherargei added.

Mama Ngina Kenyatta made a statement on Tuesday that many felt that it was controversial. Speaking in Kiambu county on Tuesday, the former first lady said that those who were insulting president Kenyatta were not raised well.

At the same time, Mama Ngina drummed support for the Azimio presidential flagbearer Raila Odinga who is also president Kenyatta’s preferred successor.

On her part, Uasin Gishu women representative Gladys Boss Sholei, she ousted the former first lady saying that the president also wrongly attacks those who disagree with him.

Sholei reminded the former first lady of how the president used to call his 2017 elections competitors names and insults.

She seemed to be defending the President and said that people who talk badly are not raised well. I think she needs to be reminded that President Uhuru Kenyatta recently was calling Raila Odinga all sorts of names.” Sholei said.

Supporting her argument, Sholei continued to list instances the President has been out of order yet he (the President) should be leading the nation

Remember in Sagana, he went and spoke in his mother tongue, yet he is supposed to be the symbol of unity. You as the President have an obligation to respect the seat that Kenyans honored you in, it was actually a gossip corner in Sagana,“ Sholei  stated
