President-elect, Ruto Meets With Congressional Delegation from the US

President-elect, Dr. William Ruto has today held talks with a congressional delegation from the United States led by Delaware Senator, Chris Andrew Coons at his residence in Karen.

The gathering brought together several US leaders who are currently in the country.

According to the images and posts shared by Ruto, the meeting discussed, among other things, the recently concluded elections and their outcome. Ruto pledged to maintain the good relations between Kenya and the states that have become so friendly to Kenya.

According to reports, the two teams discussed the US-Kenya strategic partnership, the promotion of peace and security in the region, and ways to strengthen the economies of Kenya and the United States.

Ruto was accompanied by his deputy Rigathi Gachagua, Musalia Mudavadi, Moses Wetangula, Ababu Namwamba, and Davis Chirchir among other top leaders.

The embassy then proceeded to meet with the Azimio la Umoja leaders, Raila Odinga, and his deputy, Martha Karua among other leaders to share the democratic values.

President Uhuru Kenyatta also met and spoke with visiting US Senator Chris Coons, who paid him a courtesy call at State House Nairobi.
