Persistent Saints hold off City to stalemate

After lighting up the stage at the UEFA Champions League mid-week, City returned to the Premier League with a 0-0 draw against Southampton.

The blue side of Manchester had couple of chances as Iklay Gundogan fluffed a good chance by heading over the bar. Jack Grealish had moment's of brilliance as he constantly put Saints teenage full back Tino Livramento on the front foot.

The second half started poorly for City as they continously lost possession in dangerous areas. VAR was the highlight of the day as Kyle Walker fouled Southampton forward Adam Armstrrong in the six-yard box and received his marching orders seconds later only for the decision to be overturned as the Saints forward was confirmed to be offside, much to the City faithful delight.

The result means the Saints have now drawn 4 games in a row, the most since 2002.
