Man Takes Own Life in Embu Over Lover
34-year-old man allegedly commits suicide over dispute with his 42-year-old lover at Gatunduri village in Embu West.

Infomation sourced by Bright Kenya news have revealed that the police in Embu County are currently investigating an occurence where the late James Mbogo Gitonga is reported to had committed suicide using shoelaces within the homestead of his 42-year-old lover.
This occurred after the man suspected his lover; a mother of two, had dumped him and was seeing another man yet he had plans to marry her.
It was revealed that the man showed up at the woman's home on Wednesday but she allegedly refused to open the door, prompting him to hang himself.
Residents were shocked by the tragedy, pointing out that the two were in a relationship and that the late had been spending nights at her home.
The body of the deceased was found dangling at the window on Thursday morning.
Teresia Njura, a member of the area community policing group, stated that in the recent past, the dead appeared disturbed but did not tell her what was going on. Njura further revealed that the late had informed her that dowry negotiations for her lover would begin in April of this year.
The woman fled from the scene after area residents began milling around her home.
The body has been moved to Embu Level Five Hospital mortuary as investigations are underway.
