LIVE: Sonko`s Verdict is Underway
Ex Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko`s verdict on impeachment is underway.
Christine Juma This came after Sonko challenged his impeachment arguing that it was irregular, illegal, unconstitutional, ill-motivated, and did not follow the law.
On the other hand, Hon. Kananu's appointment was illegal since the speaker acting as the Governor has no such powers.
However, the high court on Thursday, June 24th ruled that Ann kananu was lawfully vetted, approved, and sworn in as Deputy Governor.
The 3-Judge bench upheld the legitimacy of Deputy Governor Ann Kananu Mwenda as saying the Swearing-in process was Constitutional.
