The feud between Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka and Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu may erupt again shortly.

His entry comes after Kiema Kilonzo, the former Kenyan ambassador to Uganda, chose him as his running companion for the Kitui governor seat.

According to reports, the two are teaming together in the hopes of securing the Wiper Democratic Party ticket and battling Ngilu and former governor Julius Malombe.

Muasya, who has been active in Kitui politics, is looking for a high-ranking position to make his political debut.

Former Senator David Musila and ex-Nairobi Deputy Governor Jonathan Mueke have also entered the crowded race.

The addition of Muasya, on the other hand, makes it more difficult for Wiper to choose the best candidate for the contest. Leaders from throughout the region have met in a series of sessions to try to reach an agreement on how to put together a formidable team to take on Ngilu and other contenders.

The Wiper Party has also made no public statements endorsing or recommending a candidate for the Kitui governor seat.

Despite having a low profile, Muasya made waves in 2020 when Cabinet Secretary Najib Balala appointed him to the Kenya Tourism Regulatory Authority as a board member.

Muasya made headlines in 2020 when Cabinet Secretary Najib Balala appointed him to the Kenya Tourism Regulatory Authority's board of directors.

Muasya is the most recent son of the previous Vice President to demonstrate interest in carrying on his father's legacy.

Kennedy Musyoka, his other son, is a member of the East African Legislative Assembly's fourth session (EALA). Kennedy, like his father, is focused on strengthening diplomatic ties between nations.

His most recent task required him to reach an agreement with the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), which recently became the EAC's seventh partner state.

DRC entry is a significant milestone for the region given the expanded market. Kenya stands to gain a great deal from this new development and this sensitisation programme," Kennedy Musyoka said.
