Kakamega County Gubernatorial Aspirant Malalah Concedes Defeat
Kakamega County Gubernatorial Aspirant Cleophas Malalah Concedes Defeat after his opponent Fernandes Barasa of Orange Democratic Movement party {ODM} emerged as the Victor.
This comes after Barasa was declared the new Kakamega Governor-elect with 192,929 votes. Malalah who ran on an ANC's Ticket came second with 159,508 votes.
In a post seen by this publication, Malala congratulated the governor Elect Honorable Barasa and further thanked the people of Kakakamega for their full support.
"Today, alongside my Deputy, Dr. Beatrice Inyangala, Hon. Benjamin Washiali and my wife, Mrs. Carolyne Malalah, we wish to thank the residents of Kakamega county for believing in our leadership and voting resoundingly for brand Cleo Malalah."

He continued to congratulate Barasa for emerging as the Victor in the race.
"I congratulate governor-elect, Hon FCPA. Fernandes Barasa and his team for their win. It is deserved and undisputable. I am ready to offer any part of my manifesto that they may find suitable in their new government for the progress of Kakamega"
Cleophas also thanked the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission {IEBC} for their credible job during the elections.

"I also laud IEBC for conducting free, fair, credible, and verifiable elections. Not all losses are losses, some are lessons. Time is high for Kakamega County residents, regardless of their political side to rally behind the Governor for the county to realize her full socio-economic potential." We live to fight another day. Notably, Kakamega Governor Elect Barasa also thanked his people for coming out in numbers to vote for him.

Azimio la Umoja Presidential candidate Raila Odinga posted on his twitter account furteh cemlebarting Fernandes Barasa for winning Kakamega gubernatorial race. He also praised Mombasa county Governor Elect Abdulswamad Nassir Sharrif for emerging as the Victor furthe Beating Hassan Omar of UDA Party.

Abdulswamad garnered 119,082 votes, flooring the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) candidate Hassan Omar Hassan who got 98,180 votes.
