IG Mutyambai Directs DCI To Investigate The Kitengela Murder

Inspector-General of Police Hillary Mutyambai, has directed the Director of Criminal Investigation, homicide unit, to form a special team to investigate the suspected abduction and murder of four men in Kitengela 10 days ago.

“This morning, I have directed the DCI team from the homicide unit, to come up with a special team to investigate this matter to its bottom,” said Mutyambai, “we will not stop until we get the perpetrators of this offense.”

Mutyambai said this while speaking at an opening ceremony of the direct entry cadet inspectors course at the national police training college in Kiganjo on Friday, April 30.

He added that the team has already begun and is expected to report to the IG after a month.

The four are said to have vanished after a short lunch meeting at a pub in Kitengela.

Up to Friday, April 30, three of the missing bodies- Elly Obuong’,35, Benjamin Imbai, 30, and Jack Ochieng’, 37, had been discovered.

However, one of the suspected bodies, Jack Ochieng’s, which was discovered at Mathioya river on Thursday, was dismissed by the family.
